Northwest Nazarene will go up against Tampa in the NCAA Division II College World Series one more time Thursday night, with the season on the line.

In a game where the Nighthawks could’ve advanced to the championship series for the first time in school history, Northwest Nazarene fell short, losing 13-5 to the Trojans on Wednesday night at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.

After falling behind early, the defending national champions and top seed in the tournament, stormed back. Tampa (52-9) scored four runs apiece in the fourth and sixth innings to take a commanding 11-5 lead through seven innings, a deficit too steep for the Nighthawks (46-15) to overcome.
