AKRON, Ohio — A faculty member at Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron has been charged with assault following allegations involving a former student.

3News’ partner Signal Akron identified the individual charged as Chad Kendall.

According to Summit County court records, the alleged incident occurred at Hoban High School on March 24, 2024.

According to a report from Akron police, the assault allegedly happened on a stage in a gymnasium at the school.

Kendall is listed on Hoban’s website as a member of the fine arts and performing arts department, working in choir and theatre.
