LUBBOCK, Texas -- Severe thunderstorms and tornadic weather was possible across the South Plains on Thursday, June 5, according to the National Weather Service in Lubbock.

Weather highlights:

A Tornado Watch for Bailey, Briscoe, Castro, Childress, Cochran, Cottle, Crosby, Dickens, Floyd, Garza, Hale, Hall, Hockley, Kent, King, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Motley, Parmer, Stonewall, Swisher, Terry and Yoakum counties until 10:00 p.m.
