RUTLAND TOWN — The town leaders have voted to approve the plan to demolish the former Diamond Run Mall, but the state’s permitting process must still run its course.

The select board voted unanimously on Tuesday to approve the demolition plan for the former mall and to direct its department heads to fill out the municipal impact questionnaire on the demolition project’s Act 250 permit.
