ATLANTIC CITY — A Pleasantville man was arrested Wednesday after police allegedly found him in possession of narcotics during a traffic stop.

About 4:40 p.m., detectives stopped a car at Kentucky and Drexel avenues driven by 33-year-old Steven Young Jr. Detective Jesse Oliver-Logan and his K-9 partner, Gee, assisted.

While detectives questioned Young, Gee showed signs that drugs were present in Young's vehicle, police said Thursday in a news release. Young was removed from the vehicle and voluntarily turned over drugs that were in his pockets before being arrested.

Detectives found 101 individual bags of heroin, 28 grams of cocaine and paraphernalia used in drug distribution between what was in Young's pockets and a further search of the vehicle, police said.
