Francisco Lindor told the media before this afternoon’s game that he has a broken right pinky toe and is day-to-day. He told reporters that he hopes to avoid an IL stint and intends to play through it. He appeared to suffer the injury after being hit in the foot by a pitch in last night’s game, but he says he hurt it sliding. He remained in the game despite being in obvious discomfort and he confirmed that he was playing through “ a lot ” of pain. He is still in a significant amount of pain this afternoon and is walking with a limp. When he will be able to return will be a matter of pain management and he says he hopes to be able to play “sooner rather than later.”
