FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — At least one person died Thursday afternoon after two semis crashed on Interstate 69 outside Fishers.
An INDOT dispatcher confirmed the crash to News 8.
INDOT says sometime around 1:45 p.m., two semi trucks were involved in a crash. As a result, one semi caught fire.
At least one person died in the accident. It was unclear if there were any other injuries.
All lanes of I-69 north and southbound were closed as of 2:30 p.m. The Fishers Police Department says traffic is being diverted off near exit 210.
INDOT says the scene is still active and was unsure how long the highway would be closed.
