WAILUKU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A stop along Maui’s Hana Highway will close next week for a tree removal project.
The Department of Land and Natural Resources announced that Kaumahina State Wayside Park will close from June 12, to June 22, to address several dangerous trees that pose a safety risk to park visitors.
DLNR says the work will involve cutting, limbing, removal and transportation of the trees using heavy equipment. As such, no vehicular or foot traffic will be permitted on the park grounds during the closure.
The project will be carried out by Top Notch Construction Inc.
