The governor said the state will “begin deducting at least $100 from every household's energy bills” and up to $250 from the state’s most vulnerable.
Gov. Phil Murphy said the state would be providing what he called “direct economic relief” to residents facing significant utility rate hikes this summer.
At a June 5 press event, Murphy announced that, starting in July, state government would provide relief to the people of New Jersey in an effort to lower Garden State ratepayers' utility bills.
