LOS ANGELES — Francisco Lindor suffered a broken pinky toe in his right foot after being hit by a pitch in the Mets' win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

The Mets shortstop did not rule out being able to play through the pain and the injury, but he was out of the lineup for Thursday's series finale.

"Hopefully I feel good enough to play sooner rather than later, and we'll see," Lindor said. "We'll take it day by day. I trust the trainers, trust how they go about it and them advocating the decision to play or not."
