EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A motorcyclist died after a crash Wednesday evening, June 4, in far East El Paso, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office says just after 7 p.m., deputies responded to a serious crash at the intersection of Krag Street and Santiesteban Lane.

Preliminary findings revealed that a motorcyclist, who has been identified as Jason Owens, 49, was traveling northbound on Krag Street when a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Santiesteban Lane failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign, causing the crash, the Sheriff's Office said.

Owens was transported to a local hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries, the Sheriff's Office said.
