MACEDONIA, Ohio (WJW) — Police responded to two large thefts at the Kohl’s department store in Macedonia Commons this week, recovering more than $3,000 in merchandise in two separate incidents and arresting six women.
According to Macedonia Police, officers were first called to the store around 5:30 p.m. on June 3 after five women were reportedly seen actively stealing merchandise.
After short foot pursuits, police say three of the five suspects were taken into custody. Officers recovered more than $1,000 in stolen merchandise, according to police.
Later that evening, as officers remained on scene for follow-up, store employees alerted police to another active theft—this time involving three different women. Officers quickly apprehended all three suspects.
