STEUBENVILLE, OH — Franciscan University of Steubenville has announced a major expansion of Franciscan Square that will bring five new businesses, create dozens of jobs, and add to the area’s economic development.
The announcement was made at the Inn and Suites at Franciscan Square during a gathering of university officials, local leaders, and business partners.
The expansion will include Scooter’s Coffee, Buffalo Wild Wings Go, Jamba, Auntie Anne’s, and Cinnabon. Construction is set to begin in July 2025, with openings scheduled throughout the summer of 2026.
Scooter’s Coffee will be the first to open. The chain, which has over 850 locations in 31 states, will feature a café and drive-thru. It specializes in espresso drinks and fresh-baked pastries.
