Airbnb has named Rebecca Van Dyck as its new chief marketing officer (CMO) as current global head of marketing Hiroki Asai moves into the new role of chief experience officer.
Van Dyck, who reports to Asai, will lead teams across marketing, research, and creative while working closely with product development.
As chief experience officer, Asai will continue to oversee the marketing, design, product, and community teams while becoming more involved in Airbnb’s product roadmap. Asai has worked as Airbnb’s top marketer since 2020.
The C-suite shuffle comes as Airbnb evolves its business beyond home rentals and aims to promote new offerings around services and experiences.
