Many popular chicken chains thought they had gotten ahead of the McDonald's Snack Wrap rerelease by launching their own, but none compare to the original's fame.

The McDonald's Snack Wrap was introduced nationwide in 2006 and quickly became a fan favorite. However, after nearly a decade, the company ultimately discontinued it due to operational issues in 2016.

The Snack Wraps consist of crispy chicken, shredded cheese, and lettuce, all wrapped inside a tortilla.

Although this might have been the best decision for the business at the time, customers begged McDonald's to bring back the Snack Wrap for years, causing the fast-food chain to return it for a limited time across select locations nationwide in 2020.
