MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) — Dozens of detainees being held at the Krome Detention Center in Miami came together to spell out "SOS" in the courtyard on Thursday, as a protest against President Donald Trump's mass deportation efforts.

In March, the president revoked temporary humanitarian parole for about 300,000 Cubans amidst a historic wave of migration from the island, which prompted the previous Biden administration to begin cutting back on Cuban migrants.

In Tampa, a Cuban-born mother who was still breastfeeding was detained during a routine check-in appointment at an ICE office back in April. She was deported two days later.
