CHASE COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) — Two Kansas residents and their dogs were rescued safely this week after becoming trapped in their home after flash flooding hit the region.

The Kansas Fire Marshal says that late Wednesday afternoon, Kansas Search and Rescue Task Forces 5 and 6 water teams were called to assist the Chase County Emergency Management with a critical water rescue.
