Burstein, 60, had appeared in the 1993 production of “Three Men on a Horse” alongside Jack Klugman, the actor who played Herbie in “Gypsy’s” 1959 Broadway premiere. Over the years, Burstein also worked with Jonathan Hadary, John Dossett and Boyd Gaines — the actors who had inhabited Herbie in the beloved musical’s three most recent Broadway revivals.
