SYRACUSE. N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- The Syracuse Fire Department wants you to be aware of Fraudulent Donation Requests that seem like they are coming from their station's employees.

The department has received multiple inquiries from concerned residents regarding how they can make financial donations to the fire department. The department would like to make it clear that the Syracuse Fire Department is not currently accepting public donations to support operations or the budget.

The fraudulent phone calls are being made by individuals falsely claiming to represent the Syracuse Fire Department and requesting donations. These calls are unauthorized and are not affiliated with the fire department.
