The City of Winnipeg is seeking public feedback on the draft design for the proposed Bonavista Recreation Centre, a new facility planned for the city’s growing southeast neighbourhoods.
The 20,000-square-foot centre would be located in Fraipont Park, near Evelyne Reese Boulevard and Warde Avenue, and serve residents of Sage Creek, Island Lakes and Royalwood. The facility is expected to include a gymnasium, multi-purpose rooms and new outdoor park amenities.

Pam McKenzie, communication officer with the city, said the current draft design was shaped by feedback gathered in the fall of 2024.
“We gathered input from residents on what programs and amenities they would like to see,” said Pam McKenzie said. “We have used that input to develop a draft design, and we are now
