As wildfires continue to burn across Northern Manitoba, forcing thousands to flee their homes, Manitobans are stepping up in a show of unity and compassion during today’s Manitoba Day of Caring for Wildfire Evacuees . The initiative, taking place June 5, is a province-wide fundraising and awareness effort supported by more than thirty radio stations and community partners, aiming to help those impacted by the ongoing wildfire crisis.

The event is raising funds for the Canadian Red Cross 2025 Manitoba Wildfires Appeal, which directly supports evacuees with immediate and ongoing needs such as emergency accommodations, food, transportation, hygiene supplies, financial aid, and longer-term recovery and preparedness.
