Two people were injured after a tree fell across Highway 27, landing on a vehicle Thursday morning.

The Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security says a 70-foot tree uprooted just before 9:00am, falling onto a moving car across several lanes of traffic on north and southbound lanes.

One vehicle was very damaged.

Two people were injured but refused care from emergency services.

Crews worked for an hour to cut the tree and clear debris off the roadway.
