FRONT ROYAL — The Warren County School Board passed a resolution Wednesday night outlining its priorities should additional funding be available for schools in the county’s fiscal year 2026 budget.

Chairwoman Kristen Pence, vice chairwoman Antoinette Funk and members Andrea Lo, Thomas McFadden Jr. and Melanie Salins attended the meeting.

Warren County Public Schools Superintendent Christopher Ballenger has proposed a total budget of $79,409,455, which reflects an increase of $3,215,266, or 4.2%, over the current budget of $76,193,989. The county appropriation of $32,926,356 as presented in Ballenger’s proposed budget reflects an increase of $4,276,356 over the current allocation of $25,650,000.
