Israel’s decision to take control of aid distribution in Gaza has already resulted in two mass casualty events in the past few days.

While two of the sites operated by the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation reopened today – apparently without incident – a new twist: Benjamin Netanyahu’s admission that Israel authorised the arming of a criminal gang inside Gaza to bolster opposition to Hamas.

Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes killed scores more across the Strip.
