After extending the deadline to make a decision, Millcreek Township is another step closer to deciding upon the future of a community center.

The township continues to consider whether the Zem Zem Shrine Club property is the right fit for a community center.

The township recently published a feasibility study, saying there is a need for a center, and also the ability for the township to operate one.

Officials said there's a proposal for memberships at the facility to make up revenue while also having free areas for the public.

"There is one option where the township occupied the entire structure and used it as a community center in it's entirety. The other option was the township leasing space to a partner. We've had some interest from community partners who may want to have some space
