STAFFORD, Va. (DC News Now) -- Deputies filed criminal complaints against a teenager for driving without a license and allegedly under the influence on Wednesday.
The Stafford County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said deputies were patrolling the Southbound Richmond Highway area near Rowser Street at around 2 p.m. when they saw an Acura that was driving sporadically.
The Acura wasn't able to drive straight and almost sideswiped multiple cars.
A deputy initiated a traffic stop and the driver kept going and started driving southbound on northbound lanes before pulling over.
SCSO said the deputy went up to the car and the 16-year-old driver apologized to the deputy, saying, "I didn't mean to interrupt your shift."
