The Union Gospel Mission of Salem held a service Thursday morning to pray for the victims of the June 1 stabbing incident at the mission.
"The community has just surrounded the gospel mission. The support, the love, the prayers, just come alongside us to keep our services open and vibrate with us," said Mark Hunter, Director of Community Engagement at the Union Gospel Mission.
Sunday night's attack left 12 victims injured. Five victims remain in the hospital, according to the Salem Police Department. Two of the victims are in serious condition, and three are in stable condition. Two of the victims are staff members at the Union Gospel Mission.
