BIG COUNTRY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Residents across the Big Country should stay weather-aware tonight as severe thunderstorms are expected to impact parts of our viewing area.

Almost half of our region is currently under an Enhanced Risk (Level 3 of 5) for severe weather, meaning numerous storms are likely to be strong to severe.

What does this mean for us?

In simple terms, we could see all types of severe weather tonight. This includes: • Heavy rainfall • Damaging winds • Large hail to Very Large Hail • An isolated tornado or two, where the elevated risk is.
