With the recent cancellation of the Saw XI, which Lionsgate recently pulled from their schedule , many fans wondered if the iconic horror franchises days were over. But it now seems that Jigsaw isnt dying just yet, hes merely being reborn with new parents. According to a report in Deadline , horror studio Blumhouse is acquiring the rights to the Saw franchise from Twisted Pictures. That means that original Saw director James Wan will once again be involved with the series he created, way back in 2004. Wans production company, Atomic Monster, merged with Blumhouse last year, positioning him for this Saw return. Lionsgate will still retain the rights to release the films, as well as keep their 50% ownership of the Saw IP.
