MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Aaron Rodgers has told the Steelers he will sign with them, according to reports.

According to a post on X from the NFL, the four-time MVP will sign a one-year deal with Pittsburgh before next week’s minicamp.

Rodgers left the Packers in 2023 for the New York Jets after playing his first 18 season in Green Bay.

His first season in New York was over just four snaps into his debut because of a torn Achilles tendon.

The Jets said in February that they were moving on from Rodgers. Rodgers said toward the end of the Jets’ 5-12 season he was undecided on his playing future , saying he wanted to take a break mentally.

The Steelers are scheduled to play the Jets in week one. The Packers will play the Steelers in Week 8, on Sunday, Oct. 26.
