BALTIMORE —
Baltimore's inspector general is making her case for a budget that includes hiring two additional staff members .
Baltimore City Inspector General Isabel Cumming said the new positions would be dedicated to specific projects that focus on two large city agencies: The Baltimore City Departments of Transportation and Public Works.
"Inspectors general are the people's watchdog. We are about transparency, integrity, moving forward with good government," Cumming told WBAL NewsRadio 1090 AM and 101.5 FM on Wednesday morning. "My office has not had an increase in personnel since 2022."
Cumming said she wants one of the additional inspectors to concentrate on the Department of Transportation and the other to handle the Department of Public Works.
