The Family Worship Center has partnered with a Texas based disaster ministry to distribute disaster supplies and toys for children in addition to the church’s weekly food distribution program.
J-S.T.A.R. Ministries, owned and operated by Patrick Johnson, is based out of Harleton, Texas – but his ministry reaches much further than his rural community. Since the inception of J-S.T.A.R., Johnson has gone on 68 disaster trips, supplying children and families with disaster supplies.
Among the disaster trips, Johnson distinctly remembers his trip to Uvalde, TX after the Robb Elementary School shooting tragedy. He remembers a young girl seeing a doll on his table. The girl lit up when she saw it, making the trauma and grief she was experiencing a little lighter.
