SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - After a few days of heavy rain things have quieted down considerably across Florida. High pressure is building in behind the storm system and this will stay with us through the weekend. We can expect to see a lot of sunshine through the weekend along with some hazy skies. That haze is a result of Saharan dust from Africa moving in overhead and drying things out.

Friday we will see highs along the coast in the mid to upper 80s and inland areas warming into the low 90′s. The heat index will once again be a factor now that the clouds and rain have moved out. Winds will be light out of the SE to start the day and turn to the west at 10 mph by the early afternoon.
