SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WFRV) - A group of people in Sheboygan, including a police sergeant and public works employees were able to rescue a kitten on Thursday morning through a team effort.

The Sheboygan Police Department reported that two citizens alerted Sergeant Goffard at South Business Drive and Washington Avenue that a kitten was stuck in a storm sewer.

Sgt. Goffard secured some help from the Sheboygan Department of Public Works, and the group safely got the kitten out from the sewer, who they named Stormy.

The public works crews were able to get Stormy into the Humane Society of Sheboygan County, so that it could be treated for a mild respiratory infection and become available for adoption in the coming weeks.
