ANN ARBOR, MI — Ann Arbor’s free street concert series kicked off Thursday afternoon with a solo performance from local frontman Joe Hertler and a full set from Detroit-born singer-songwriter Mike Posner, backed by DJ Brody Jenner.

The first Sonic Lunch concert of the year began at 11:30 a.m., with Hertler taking the stage to perform a solo set including acoustic versions of songs he recorded with his psychedelic rock band the Rainbow Seekers.

Posner and Jenner began their hour-long set at noon, with the Michigan native belting out electronic pop tracks like “Cooler Than Me,” “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” and “Please Don’t Go.”
