Jury selection for the Lockerbie bombing case has been scheduled for April 20, 2026. That's according to a report from The National.
Abu Agila Mohammad Masud, of Libya, is accused of making the bomb that exploded on PanAm Flight 103 on Dec. 21, 1988, over Lockerbie, Scotland. The plane was flying from London to New York.
In court on Thursday, Masud wore headphones to listen to the proceedings in Arabic. He pleaded not guilty to the terrorist attack in 2023.
259 people died as a result of the bombing. There were 35 Syracuse University students and two students from SUNY Oswego on board the flight.
11 people died from debris that struck the ground.
