NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) is asking civilians to prepare for multiple traffic interruptions on Thursday afternoon as Vice President JD Vance arrives in the city.

The vice president's visit coincides with , which heavily impacts Downtown Nashville's roads as well.

Sources told FOX 17 News that Vice President Vance is visiting Music City for a fundraising event benefiting the Republican National Convention (RNC).

MNPD stated in a public announcement that the roads impacted will be between Nashville International Airport (BNA) and throughout the downtown area in the late afternoon.
