KELSO Wash. (KPTV) - A Columbia County juvenile was arrested May 22 in connection to what federal officials described as an imminent plot to carry out a mass shooting and bomb attack at the Three Rivers mall in Kelso, Washington.
The FBI Portland Field Office said the juvenile suspect had devised detailed plans for the attack, including using a chlorine bomb to create panic and then open fire on mall patrons. Authorities said the juvenile intended to conclude the attack by committing suicide at a predetermined location inside the mall.
Due to the suspect’s age, the FBI has not released the suspect’s name. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest on May 22, after executing a search warrant.
