During the top of the eighth inning in Wednesday night’s Mets-Dodgers game in Los Angeles, just as Mets outfielder Starling Marte stepped up to the plate, a fan dashed onto the field.

The shirtless man gave it his all as he ran through the Dodger Stadium outfield and along the warning track.

The wannabe track star had success outrunning most of the security guards — even with a wardrobe malfunction where one of his shoes flew off.
