DELTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WILX) -Eaton County and Delta Township have reached a tentative agreement for a police services contract.

The agreement was made after two meetings on June 5, where the two governments accepted a financial framework for the contract.

This comes after two failed millages and “significant financial challenges” threatened police funding in Delta Township.

Under the agreement, the Township will pay $8 million annually for dedicated police service from the Sheriff’s office.
