FORT DODGE, Iowa —

Police have arrested another suspect in connection to a murder in Fort Dodge last year.

Authorities have charged Aidan Drake Pate, 23, of Thor, in connection to a death investigation from April 2024. Two Fort Dodge men were arrested after their father, Dennis Jones, was found with an apparent gunshot wound .

Both sons, identified as Alec Jones and Nathan Jones, were charged in the case. Alec Jones was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of first-degree murder.

Now, Pate faces charges in the case. Investigators allege Pate hid Dennis Jones' body along a ditch where his body was later found.

Pate is charged with accessory after the fact and abuse of a corpse.
