HARTFORD, Conn. — The team representing the CT State Library announced the inaugural 2025 Excellence in Public Libraries Awards recipients on Thursday.

The recognition honors and celebrates outstanding public libraries for demonstrating excellence in service and launching innovative programming that has had a positive impact on their respective communities.

According to a CT State Library release, the awards aim to showcase the outstanding work of public libraries throughout Connecticut while encouraging growth and evolution in library services.

Furthermore, the distinctions acknowledge libraries’ significant contributions while inspiring others to seek excellence serving their communities.

The six 2025 Excellence in Public Libraries Award winners are:
