Seattle police detectives arrested a 39-year-old man Wednesday in connection with a series of armed bank robberies that occurred throughout the city last year.

After spending months building a case, detectives tracked the suspect to an apartment complex near Maynard Avenue South and South Jackson Street in the Chinatown-International District.

On June 4 at about 3:00 p.m., detectives arrested the suspect after he walked out of his house. Both SPD Robbery Unit detectives and Community Response Group officers played a role in the arrest.

The man was taken to Seattle Police Headquarters for an interview and was later booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery. SPD Robbery Detectives will be referring five criminal charges to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
