ATLANTA — With construction set to pick back up on the Five Points MARTA Station this month, Gregory Cannion is doing his best to work around a work in progress.
Work began three weeks ago on the $230 million Five Points Transformation Project, and MARTA officials said about 4,500 bus riders would be impacted with route changes among other differences.
"A lot of people don't know," Cannion said. "People on the bus complain about it. It's not the driver's fault. They got a supervisor and everybody has a boss. But it's pretty much a hassle. It's a lot of arguments, complaining to bus drivers. I'm pretty sure he gets tired of hearing it."
The focus of the project will involve dismantling and replacing an aging and weathered concrete canopy. MARTA officials said the renovations will imp
