ENGLEWOOD – Broncos coach Sean Payton likes the running backs he has but still has interest in beefing up the position.
The Broncos brought in veteran running back J.K. Dobbins for a free-agent visit. He arrived in Denver on Wednesday night and met with team brass Thursday.
“We’ll have the chance to visit with him and then we’ll see where it goes,’’ Payton said after an organized teams practice Thursday at Broncos Park and before he met with Dobbins.
Dobbins, 26, rushed for 905 yards last season with the Los Angeles Chargers, missing four games due to a sprained knee. He has had an injury-plagued career since being a second-round pick by Baltimore in 2020 out of Ohio State. He rushed for 805 yards as a rookie but then played in just nine games for the Ravens over the next three seasons,
