ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - In light of our WNDU 16 News Now I-Team story that aired tonight , we want to let you know there are plenty of resources here in Michiana to help victims of child abuse.

Child And Parent Services (CAPS) is one of them.

WNDU 16 News Now met up with CEO and president Rebecca Shetler Fast to get some advice on how to address this sensitive issue.

Shelter Fast says as a parent or caregiver, it is important to educate children at a young age. She says you should teach your kids the names of body parts and what are appropriate boundaries. That way, your child learns what safety looks like from the safe adults in their lives.
