Diehl Elementary School in Erie is set to receive a new outdoor classroom, thanks to a $75,000 grant from the PNC Foundation.

The project aims to enhance learning by providing a covered shelter and various educational features, including raised garden beds, a bird house, a work table, and a walking bridge.

Jim Stevenson, Regional President of PNC Bank, emphasized the importance of supporting young people as they represent the future of the community.

Preschoolers participated in the ceremonial groundbreaking, marking the beginning of the construction for the outdoor classroom.
