(CNN)– Just a few months after filing for bankruptcy protection Hooters has abruptly closed dozens of locations.

In a statement, a company spokesperson says it closed certain company-owned locations to position the restaurant chain for the future.

A specific list of locations was not released, but local reports indicate about 30 locations were shuttered in seven states, including Florida, Texas, Michigan, and the Carolinas.

The company filed for bankruptcy back in March.
