FLORENCE — The Doctor N. Lee Morris Gallery will feature an exhibit, "The Art of Robert Garey." The works will be on display from June 5 through Sept. 19, 2025. The public is invited to an opening reception for the artist on Thursday, June 5, at 5:30 p.m.
The reception is free to attend, and light refreshments will be served.
Garey has local ties, as he grew up in Florence and graduated from McClenaghan High School in 1971. He attended art classes at Francis Marion College, studying under Steven Gately. Garey moved to New York City in 1986 and lived there for 26 years, studying at the Art Students League and at the New York Academy of Art, where he earned his MFA in painting.
