The Florence County Violent Crime Task Force reports it continues enforcement operations in highcrime areas of the county.

The task force is comprised of deputies with the FCSO Street Crimes Unit as well as officers from the Florence Police Department.

The task force reported the following seizures and activity for the month of May:

■ Marijuana – 1,323.2 grams

■ Cocaine – 13.5 grams

■ Methamphetamine – 20.2 grams

■ Crack cocaine – 17 grams

■ Controlled substances – 17 dose units

■ Guns – 23

■ U.S. currency – $1,085

■ Psychedelic mushrooms — 186 grams

Also, six fugitives were arrested and 39 criminal cases were made.

Criminal cases included:

■ Violent felon in possession of a firearm

■ Possession of stolen pistol

■ Unlawful carry of a weapon

■ Possession of cocaine base
